Here's tips to help you get started....PART 1


  • Have the wedding you want
  • Make sure you and your partner are on 'the right page'
  • Research & know the costs
  • Create a mood board
  • Organised should be your second name!
  • Make a list of the 'must be at our wedding' guest list
  • Select 5 choice vendors then narrow down to 2
  • Ask about payment plan options & packages
  • If someone want to help your answer will be 'hell yeah!'
  • Scout for venues & always enquire about restrictions
  • Send out save the dates 3 months prior to the wedding
  • Send out invitations 2 months prior to the wedding
  • Use FB groups to find affordable decor items (if its a DIY wedding)
  • Your marriage license!
  • It's easy to forget the finer details so put pen to paper - jot down everything!
  • Emergency kit for the day 'must be at your wedding!
  • Plan incase of rain
  • Invest in things that are important to you
  • Plan incase of the famous SA Load shedding!


This is a mouthful for now & we definitely do not want to overwhelm you! Planning a wedding is definitely not Childs play and takes an immense amount of physical and emotional effort. It's important that you know (even if you OCD hahahaha) that you not alone - ask for help!
